It is an association of scientists involved in research, training and the fight against diseases in tropical areas.
This non-profit and non-political association called International Society for Health Research and Training "ISRT-Health" has its headquarters in Douala.
It aims to bring together the financial, material and human resources for research, training and the fight against diseases in tropical areas.

• Contribution to the training of a critical mass of players involved in research (biology and pathology) that impact on public health;
• Promoting and supporting basic and applied research, investigation and education in the context of the fight against diseases in the tropics;
• Promotion of meetings and collaborations to enhance skills for solving public health problems;
• Assurance of broad dissemination of research results and educating the public.
