A workshop  was held at the Diocese of Eseka and Promotio-justiciae under the theme "Impact of the exploitation of natural resources and sustainable development in Eséka" in January 20, 2018. This workshop was to raise awareness among leaders in the town of Eséka.
Prof. Léopold LEHMAN, Lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Douala, was invited to participate in this important event with a presentation on the impact of mining on the health of the population. His presentation highlighted the dangers associated with this activity and recommendations were made to reduce the risks associated with mining for the well being of future generations.
